Cancellation and Refund Policy

This policy explains how to cancel a paid YardHub subscription and when a refund applies. It supplements our Terms of Use and covers the paid subscription plans referred to there (currently the Solo Owner plan, billed monthly via PayFast).

1. Free pilot programme

Yards set up on our pilot programme are not charged anything during the pilot period, so there is nothing to cancel or refund until a paid plan actually begins. Simply stop using YardHub, or let us know, if you don't wish to continue after the pilot ends.

2. Cancelling a paid subscription

To cancel a paid subscription, email info@yardhub.co.za from the email address on the account, or use the contact form at yardhub.co.za/contact.html, and we'll process it promptly. You can request cancellation at any time; there's no minimum term and no cancellation fee.

3. What happens when you cancel

• You keep full access for the remainder of the billing period you've already paid for.
• No further payments will be collected once the cancellation is processed.
• Your account will not auto-renew after your current paid period ends.
• Your yard's data is retained afterwards only for the periods set out in our Privacy Policy, after which it's permanently deleted.

4. Refunds

Subscription fees are billed in advance for each monthly period and, because the service is available to use for the whole of that period, we don't provide pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of a month when you cancel partway through it.

We will refund you in full where:

• You were charged in error (for example, a duplicate charge, or a charge after a cancellation we'd already processed), or
• A technical fault on our side meant the service was materially unavailable to you for a significant part of the billing period it was charged for.

To request a refund on one of these grounds, email info@yardhub.co.za within 30 days of the charge, describing what happened. We aim to respond within 5 business days and, where a refund is due, to process it back to the original payment method within 10 business days of approving it.

Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under South African consumer law that can't lawfully be excluded.

5. Failed or declined payments

If a renewal payment fails or is declined, we'll let you know and give you a short grace period to update your payment details before any suspension of access. If payment still can't be collected after that, your account's paid features will be suspended until it's resolved or the subscription is cancelled.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our plans evolve. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers of material changes before they take effect.
