This explains the cookies and similar technologies YardHub uses, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
Today, YardHub's application sets exactly one cookie: a strictly necessary session cookie (yard_sync_token) that keeps you signed in. It's HTTP-only (invisible to page scripts), Secure, and SameSite-restricted, and it's deleted automatically 30 days after it's set, when you sign out, or immediately after a password change. Without it, YardHub cannot keep you logged in between page loads — there's no way to opt out of it short of not using the platform, which is standard for a cookie that does nothing except hold your session open.
YardHub also works as an installable app (a Progressive Web App) and uses your browser's offline cache/service worker storage to make that possible. That's local to your device, isn't a tracking technology, and exists purely so the app keeps working if your connection drops.
We do not currently use any analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies on the YardHub application itself.
If we ever add a cookie that isn't strictly necessary — analytics to understand usage, for example — we'll ask for your consent first via an on-screen banner before it's set, and this page will be updated to describe it, who sets it, and how long it lasts.
This policy covers the YardHub application (the platform you sign in to). YardHub's separate marketing website may use its own cookies (e.g. for analytics) under its own, separate cookie notice.
Most browsers let you see and delete cookies in their settings, and block cookies from specific sites. Blocking YardHub's session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in.
